Client Research

The 3 clients myself and Maia are going to research further are:

  1. Nanna Mexico
  2. Jemporium Vintage
  3. City Cycle Hire

  • Nanna Mexico
Nanna Mexico is a informal Mexican fast food restaurant based in Cambridge which you can eat in, take out or they offer home delivery, they have two stores, one down regent street and the other is in Petty Cury. Within Cambridge, their main competitors are Chiquito's which is is a Restaurant Bar/Mexican Grill, Las Iguanas which is a Latin American and offers Mexican food on its menu. Nanna Mexico's online presence helps to spread the word through their social media sites, posting photographs on their Facebook and Twitter profiles and offering online-exclusive deals to encourage people to spread the word and create a buzz about their restaurant. 
The logo is bright and modern, but still minimalist with just the lettering making up the logo. They offer authentic Mexican Food e.g. burritos, tacos, quesadillas, enchiladas, they do it so you can 'make your own' in the sense that you choose your item and then the filling (chicken, vegetarian etc). They also offer student discounts to encourage local students with a small disposable income.






























  • Jemporium Vintage
Jemporium Vintage is a clothing and accessories store based in the Grafton Centre in Cambridge. They primarily focus on low cost vintage items, for example, Levi's, which is generally are at a high cost. They specialise in a lot of unique products from the 50's to the 90's as well as accommodating for sizes XS to XXL. Jemporium's potential top competitors for Vintage clothing include charity stores such as Oxfam, as well as stores like Rosie's Vintage, Romsey Retro, Fantasia and Rehab Vintage. Their logo is simple and reflective of the type of fun, retro store they are and their branding is representative of the 60's era, with bright colours and stand-out lettering on their website. A potential attraction from their website is that they 'search over land and sea' to bring their customers the finest vintage clothing.







  • City Cycle Hire 
City cycle hire is a cycle hire store based in Cambridge. They allow you to hire out bikes for a period of time for a deposit, you get a choice between mountain bikes or city hybrid bikes. Their main competitor is Station Cycles. Their logo is simple and traditional, making the company appear reliable and well-established, and the logo is easy to remember and recognise. City Cycle Hire also offers the opportunity for long-term hiring, which is especially appealing to students both international and local. Starting at £7 for four hours, City Cycle Hire cater to a wide range of customers and their individual needs, and even offer group rides and speciality bikes such as Tandems and Fixed Gear Bikes.
